Burghound 95: *Don't miss! Outstanding* An exceptionally fresh and even spicier nose combines red and black pinot fruit with really lovely floral notes that include rose, violet and lavender. The robust and overtly muscular medium-weight plus flavors possess grand cru level power and impressive drive on the explosively long and stunningly complex finish. There is an abundance of dry extract that makes this seem less firmly structured than it is but make no mistake, this will need all of 15 to 20 years of slumber in a cool cellar before it will play nicely in the vinous sand box.


Wine Advocate 96: The 2010 Vosne-Romanee Les Malconsorts marries considerable volume and textural richness with tons of underlying energy. It reveals gorgeous mid-palate depth as the fruit continues to blossom all the way through to the enveloping finish. Silky, polished tannins convey an impression of total finesse. This is a great Malconsorts. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030.
