Jasper Morris: Fine pure clear pale primrose. The bouquet is superbly clear cut too. There is precision elegance and class here, with a beautifully defined finish. Impeccable balance, very far from blockbuster. Best Puligny-Montrachet to date.
Vinous: The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Canet 1er Cru is clearly on a higher level compared to the Village Cru, with a subtle shellfish note and a hint of lemon verbena. The palate is well balanced with a saline note on the entry, just a subtle touch of ginger imparting a spicy undercurrent with a persistent finish. This is drinking beautifully now.
Burghound: A more elegant nose offers up wisps of citrus and spice that add breadth to the pear, apple, white flower and lemon rind scents. There is a highly seductive mouth feel to the sappy and succulent medium-bodied flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the balanced and caressing finish. This moderately powerful effort should also drink well young but I would be inclined to allow at least it 5+ years of cellaring first. *Outstanding*
