Description

Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion 位於波爾多左岸Pessac-Leognan 產區，曾是波爾多五大名莊之一的 Château Haut-Brion 紅顏容酒莊的一部分。1584年，101歲高齡的老莊主，Château Haut Brion 的創始人 Jean De Pontac 將莊園中水磨坊及其周邊小塊牧場與葡萄園贈予給了 Carmes de Notre-Dame 修道院，正式開啟 Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion 的歷史。

在其後的兩個多世紀裡，修道院沿用“Haut-Brion”的名字，並逐漸將名稱更改為 “Carmes Haut-Brion”，法國大革命後，波爾多商人 Chantecaille 家族買下了麗嘉紅顏容酒莊，並一直經營至本世紀。2010年底，Chantecaille 家族將酒莊出售給 Pichet 財富集團，該集團已經計畫投入鉅資用於購買新的釀酒容器，並邀請 Phillipe Stack 重新設計了新的釀酒車間及陳釀酒窖，令酒莊的出品更上一層樓。

Offering a deep ruby/purple color as well as a thrilling bouquet of blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, chocolate, violets, damp earth, and truffle, it hits the palate with a full-bodied yet almost understated, building style that carries ripe, supple tannins, gorgeous amounts of smoky black fruits, and an endearing, layered, multi-dimensional texture that keeps you coming back to the glass. A dead ringer for a great vintage of Haut-Brion, it is far from unapproachable today yet needs 7-8 years of bottle age for the fireworks to develop and will have 50-years or more of longevity! Hats off to Guillaume Pouthier for a magical, seamless, singular beauty!
