Neal Martin:The 2016 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clos de la Pucelle has a more austere nose than the Folatieres, more stony and earthier in style, a bit aloof, but it begins to open with gusto with aeration. The palate is tensile and saline, very focused and intense with orange rind and sour lemon notes driving this forward. I love the energy and breeding of this premier cru that just has a sense of swagger about it." Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028
