Marchesi di Barolo 在意大利文中的意思是「Barolo 的侯爵」。第一支稱為 Barolo 的酒也是 於世紀初在這個酒莊誕生的。


Barolo 原來只是個市鎮的名字， 當地的 Tancredi Falletti 侯爵娶了個法國女人 Giulia Vittorina Colbert de Maulevrier。Giulia 在1840年左右年通過一位法國朋友請來了釀酒專家 Louis Oudart 伯爵，是這位法國貴族用布根地的方法把 Marchesi Falletti 的 Nebbiolo 甜酒改造為乾紅酒的，之後他們就取 Barolo 為這種新酒的名字， 意大利的 “the wine of kings, the king of wines” 于是誕生了 ！


”從1929年開始，屬於 Abbona 家族的 Marchesi di Barolo 酒莊，至今已經傳到第三代 Ernesto Abbona 和他的妻子 Annamaria 手中。他們的目標是釀造出有非常純淨的氣味，在結構與優雅之間達到美好平衡的葡萄酒。

The de-stemmed grapes are vinified at a controlled temperature in steel vats, with a maceration on the skins for about 8 days at 28 ° C. The malolactic fermentation takes place instead in vitrified concrete vats. The aging takes place partly in French oak barriques, partly in oak barrels.

Ruby red in color, the nose reveals hints of berries, in addition to the spicy note of vanilla and cinnamon. The sip is warm and elegant, with soft tannins.

To be combined with rich appetizers of cold cuts and cheeses, plin with meat sauce and aged cheeses
